1526 NOT 1619

In 1526, in this region, Africans and Native people claimed their right to LIBERTY and Freedom by repulsing an outside colonial power bent upon subjugating them! This was where FREEDOM began for both Native and African Indigenous people who DEFINED themselves through Liberation and Self-determination, NOT enslavement/plantations. It also denotes a Liberty, Equality and Freedom, by their own hand, well before 1776 or Reconstruction. An amalgamated force of Africans and Native people had already done that, 1526.
