A Beachside Turtle-Hatching Experience
Venture out on the back of a pickup truck for a late night truck ride to Ossabaw Island's beach, escorted by naturalist guide John "Crawfish" Crawford to look for any late season nesting turtles. The next morning watch and assist the turtle biologists in their monitoring work, and learn about the life cycle of the turtles from a nest-side vantage point. With luck and good timing, observe some hatchlings emerge and make their way to the water.
