An evening of film, participatory music, and lively discussion featuring the Drumfolk Shout + Music Society!, music of John Coltrane and regionally specific Gullah Geechee-inspired expression. Before corporate slogans and brand name tropes—music and movement cemented a genuine good. These “higher ideals” assert and insist that Escape, Rebellion and Freedom are basic Human Rights in the face of inequality: “true power is the power of all”.
