A Return To… curated by Alexis Javier features artists who are creating in the spirit of Sankofa, by making work that takes intentional steps into the future while looking back to the past in honor of those who came before. The Adinkra symbol implores those of Afrikan descent to reach back into ancient history for traditions and customs that have been left behind - "It is not wrong to go back for that which you have forgotten."
