When: Fri., June 17, 7 p.m. and Sat., June 18, 7 p.m. 2022
On June 4, 2013, the world lost a beacon of jazz light and love when Ben Tucker was killed in a tragic accident on Hutchinson Island. A tribute will be paid to his musical legacy and contributions to jazz in Savannah on June 17th and 18th by the Andre Murchison Quartet.
Of his most well-known works, Coming Home Baby is regularly featured in films, commercials and popular television shows. His Hard Hearted Hannah’s club in Savannah was a mecca for great jazz music and his work with Teddy Adams and others to revive jazz in Savannah has kept the music.
