Arthouse Cinema: Howl's Moving Castle

Hayao Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle, follows a quiet, good-natured teenage girl, Sophie, who gets turned into a 90-year-old woman by a spiteful witch as she journeys to break the spell. Along the way, Sophie finds herself aboard a magical moving castle where a chatty fire demon, a young apprentice, and the wizard Howl live. The longer Sophie stays, the more she is called to protect her new friends from the war of sorcery outside the castle walls. This screening is part of the Studio Ghibli series, celebrating remarkable animated films, and will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
