Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke is a landmark of animation and a film of unsurpassed power and beauty. Set in Medieval Japan, young warrior Ashitaka — infected by an animal attack — seeks a cure from the deer-like god Shishigami. An epic story of conflict between humans, gods, and nature, the film has been universally acclaimed by critics and broke the box office record on its original release in Japan. This screening is part of the Studio Ghibli series, celebrating remarkable animated films, and will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
