Award Winning Soprano in Recital

Ethel Trujillo has won numerous awards, including first place and the Pro-Opera Audience Award at the 2018 Carlo Morelli National Singing Contest in Bellas Artes, Mexico, and 1st place at the Gerda Lissner Foundation, Operetta & Zarzuela (2022). José Meléndez, pianist, holds a full-time position at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. He serves as Assistant Conductor, Collaborative Pianist, and Vocal Coach for various AVA productions and events, and he also is the Music Director of Concert Operetta Philadelphia. Mr. Meléndez made his Carnegie Hall debut as a solo pianist in a recital with pianist José Ramos-Santana in 2011.
