Curator’s Tour of “Michael Kolster: Take Me to the River”

Assistant Curator Erin Dunn will lead a tour of the exhibition Michael Kolster: Take Me to the River. To register, please contact Calli Laundré at 912.790.8807 or [email protected]. This solo exhibition of contemporary wet-plate ambrotypes is from the artist’s Rivers series (2011–2014), for which he was awarded a 2013 Guggenheim Fellowship in Photography. In Take Me to the River, Michael Kolster (American, b. 1963) explores four American rivers that flow into the Atlantic Ocean—the Androscoggin, Schuylkill, James, and Savannah—as they emerge from two centuries of industrial use and neglect.
