Custom Sandal Making w/ Michelle Quick

Learn basic leatherworking and shoemaking techniques while creating a pair of custom fitted leather sandals. This day long workshop will expose students to a variety of hand-on skills as they design and build a pair of sandals. The workshop begins with a design and fitting session, where you'll learn how to take custom measurements for creating a pattern to fit your feet, select high quality leathers, and design your strap style. The workshop will continue with cutting and preparing materials before learning to assembly all the components by lacing, stitching and gluing. Each student walks away with an original, wearable pair of sandals that are built to last. No prior experience required. All materials included.
