Davenport House Museum - New Docent Orientation Session

The Davenport House Museum, a treasured Historic Savannah Foundation property that was the birthplace of Savannah’s modern-day preservation movement, is seeking local history enthusiasts and community members to share the rich history behind the iconic 1820 Federal-style home. Anyone over the age of 18 who is interested in volunteering as a docent to lead tours of the home and the new Urban Enslaved Exhibit is encouraged to attend one of two upcoming orientation sessions. The two-hour docent orientation sessions will address the process of becoming a docent and the training required to effectively engage the museum’s visitors.
