Dame Darcy, cartoonist on Fantagraphics Books for 30 years, presents a two hour comix and zines class for ages 8+ that covers creating your own concept and character design, connecting individual influences to comics history, storytelling, story boarding, writing style, and how to never have writers block. Participants will produce their own double-sided 10-page comic book which is printed via photocopier to make a comic they can later gift to friends and family. Cost is $15 for the first family member, $5 ea additional. Materials are included.
