Drumfolk/Stono Exhibit

See this remarkable exhibit highlighting the Liberty and Freedom ethos of captive people in colonial America. Their Force for Freedom rang with sacred power & truth—self evident well before the Declaration of Independence or Civil War. Their drum led revolt, Stono, SC, to Savannah into the hinterlands of FL, started an ongoing plantation-routing cycle of African and Native people—rejecting onerous plots of dispossession & chattel slave empire. The Drumfolk/Stono exhibition supports reading, education, and literacy as forces of self determination and social transformation.
