Enslavement to Emancipation: The Struggle for Education
The exhibit traces Savannah’s African American education history from the nineteenth century clandestine schools until the early sixties when schools were integrated. From 5:00 to 6:30, tour guides will provide walking tours that focus on Savannah’s African American History. Advance booking is required. This will be followed by the exhibit ceremony and presentation by Chief Ulysses Bryant at 6.30 pm.
