Family Field Trips: Maritime Forest Exploration

When: Tue., June 4, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Tue., June 25, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and Tue., July 23, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. 2019

Discover the hidden wonders of the maritime forest during a guided hike with educators that will include interactive games and scavenger hunts. Before looking for animals in their natural habitat, visitors can enjoy a live reptile demonstration at the UGA Aquarium and interact with snakes and turtles that serve as ambassador animals for education and conservation. The hike is approximately one-third of a mile. Comfortable walking shoes and reusable water bottles are recommended. Children ages 5 and above are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is encouraged to guarantee your spot.
