FastFood?
FastFood? is about the permanence and pop culture of junk food. The catalyst of the show comes from a decade long experiment by local artist Rubi McGrory. Ten years ago, in July of 2008, she unwrapped a Twinkie and a McD's cheeseburger and commemorated the dates on them in Swarovski crystals. Almost ten years later, they are virtually intact, albeit hardened and discolored.
