Asbury Memorial Church is hosting a screening of the documentary “Killing Us Softly IV” and subsequent panel discussion. This event will be hosted by Asbury Memorial’s Church & Society Committee, who recently presented “Backs Against the Wall: The Howard Thurman Story.” May’s screening and panel discussion will be the second in this new series of thought-provoking events. “Killing Us Softly IV” is the newest edition of Jean Kilbourne’s influential and award-winning series portraying how the advertising industry continues to reinforce, and glamorize, a regressive and debased notion of femininity.
