One of his greatest films, Touch of Evil, written, directed and co-starring Welles, is one of the last true noir films of the genre's classic era. Featuring Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh, and a late appearance by Marlene Dietrich, Touch of Evil is a stark, perverse story of murder, kidnapping, and police corruption in a Mexican border town.
