Fort Pulaski Women's History Events

When: Sat., March 15 2014

Fort Pulaski honors the women who served in the American Civil War, by featuring the park’s female staff and volunteers in today's historic weapons demonstrations. Union and Confederate Civil War armies forbade the enlistment of women. Females who wanted to participate in the war on the front lines disguised themselves as men. 12pm musket firing demonstration. 11am and 2pm cannon firing demonstrations.
