“From Roses to Roselle” Virtual/In-Person Workshop with the Savannah African Art Museum

Savannah African Art Museum is holding a virtual/ in person workshop the week of November 9th. In this workshop, you will be using a textile called “roselle” and making traditional masks out of it. This is a continuation of the Harvest Time workshops in the fall, but all are welcome to attend. We will add dried Roselle to our masks and assemblage that we started at the beginning of Harvest Time and explore the different shapes of African masks. We will share Senegalese Chef Pierre Thiam’s bissap and sip bissap made from his recipe after the onsite workshop.
