Grand Thanksgiving Fete and Festival of 1862 Commemoration
This event will recreate the field day offered by the 48th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment to celebrate their first Thanksgiving in Fort Pulaski in 1862. Festivities include music, wheelbarrow races, cannon firing demonstrations, and a burlesque dress parade where the audience is invited to wear the fort's Civil War garb.
