Every spring horseshoe crabs congregate on beaches along the east coast to lay their eggs. These spawning events attract migratory shorebirds that utilize the horseshoe crab eggs to fuel their annual flight to nesting grounds in the Arctic.
Join us for a guided evening beach walk on Tybee Island to experience this unique, seasonal phenomenon along the Georgia coast. Please meet us at the Tybee Island Marine Science Center at 6:25 p.m. for a brief presentation before we begin our walk.
Registration is required. This program is open to all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
