“A Coffin in Egypt” by American master Horton Foote is a haunting drama of the mythic life of a Texan royal. Born of privilege in 1880, Myrtle Bledsoe looks back on a life of strife; immersed in the class, race, and women’s issues of the 20th century. Myrtle's reckoning is ingeniously portrayed by Obie-winning actress Maude Mitchell accompanied by a live trio led by musical director and composer Carver Blanchard.
