Hungry for History?: John Norris, Savannah's Mid-Nineteenth Century Architect

New York native John Norris came to Savannah around 1845 to design and oversee the building of the United States Custom House on Bay Street. By the start of the Civil War, he had designed nearly two dozen buildings for both public and private use.
