Authors and composers have long been fascinated by the promise of spring. Love and renewal are in the air. Felix Mendelssohn, Thomas Morley, Johannes Brahms, George Shearing and Leonard Bernstein all composed in tribute to spring. Shearing and Morley even used Shakespeare’s words for inspiration.
