Indigo Dyeing Workshop
The Richmond Hill Historical Society and Museum will hold an Indigo Dyeing Workshop for Kids in 2nd and 3rd grades. Indigo Dyeing is a hands-on workshop that teaches students about the scientific process behind creating a dye from the indigo plant. This program also covers the history of the indigo plant in Georgia and the Southeast. Participants engage in dyeing their own cloth and experiment with pattern making.
