Warren, whose powerful speech about the United Methodist Church’s (UMC) position on LGBTQ+ individuals at the 2019 UMC Special Conference went viral, is slated to join Asbury Memorial Church, 1008 E Henry St., Savannah, for their 11:15 a.m. worship service on Sunday, March 1. Warren will address Christianity and the LGBTQ+ community before signing copies of his first book, Reclaiming Church: A Call to Action for Religious Rejects.
