Landscape Oil Painting Workshop

Students will learn how paint the landscape in oil in the studio (acrylic is okay). A studio environment provides an opportunity for the artist to approach a landscape painting differently than when painting in the field. Students will learn how to use reference material to create an oil painting that begins with a strong composition and ultimately creates a sense of light, emotion and drama. We will work through design and composition concepts, value and color studies, and the use of use of a monochromatic under painting ultimately leading up to the finished studio painting & more. Deadline Jan 13.
