Landscape Painting in Oils with Charles Philip Brooks: Demo and Instruction

Students will paint landscape and skyscape subjects in oils; studying light, color, form, and atmosphere directly from nature while exploring pastoral Savannah, Georgia. Emphasis on capturing effects of light and exploring the aesthetic qualities of paint handling. All skill levels welcome; direct, observational painting and poetic painting using Impressionist and Tonalist oil painting techniques will be taught. Artist demo: Thursday, May 29, 5-8pm Instruction: Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31 9am-noon and 2pm-6pm
