Lecture: Pastoral Ministry in Flannery O'Connor's 'The Enduring Chill'
Father Gavin Dunbar, the Rector of St. John's Church in Savannah, will consider the pastoral ministry of “Fahther Finn – from Purrgatory” in O’Connor’s short story, “The Enduring Chill.” Originally written in 1958, the story focuses upon Asbury, a writer from New York who returns home to his mother's farm in the South after being diagnosed with a serious illness.
