Matthew Figel, “with a tone and approach entrancing from the outset” (New York Concert Review), is an emerging pianist known for his captivating and thoughtful performances. His program for The Arts at Messiah will include J.S. Bach's 4th Partita, Ravel's Sonatine, and Beethoven's Op. 110 Sonata for The Arts at Messiah. Currently a graduate student at the Eastman School of Music, Matthew, while in his sophomore year, was named winner of the Eastman Concerto Competition, becoming one of the youngest students in the school’s 100-year history to solo with the Eastman Philharmonia. No reservations are needed, but masks are required.
