UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant Uploaded by Kayla Clark
Cannonball jellyfish harvested locally
Did you know cannonball jellyfish (Stomolophus meleagris), locally referred to as a "jellyball", are harvested in Georgia? Jellyfish have a crunchy texture and can be served hot, cold, cooked or raw. During this seafood workshop you can sample jellyfish products for yourself while learning about the biology, ecology and commercial fishery of jellyfish. This class is part of the Ocean to Table Series of seafood workshops for adults in coastal Georgia and a collaboration between UGA Cooperative Extension and UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant. Registration closes December 5.
