Ogeechee Audubon Field Trip

Meet at Parking Area before Guard House at 8:45 am to carpool into the Fort. We will be checking for the elusive marsh sparrows, visiting the picnic area, and the Savannah River beach to look for shorebirds, terns, and particularly banded American Oystercatchers. The Oystercatchers at this location are being monitored by Georgia Department of Natural Resources because of population declines. The park provides needed habitat for the local population especially through the winter. Leader: Diana Churchill, 912-604-7539 or [email protected].
