Ogeechee Audubon Field Trip: Tupelo Trail

Established in 1927, the refuge encompasses over 30,000 acres of freshwater marshes, tidal rivers and creeks, including bottomland hardwoods. Hike the lower portion of the Tupelo Trail, which travels along levee tops and affords great views of the north impoundments. We will be looking for wintering waterfowl, waders, rails, raptors and sparrows. Meet at Savannah National Wildlife Refuge Tupelo Trailhead parking lot (Across from the Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive exit).
