ON::VIEW Artist Residency presents Reflections on Dsesire
Artist Resident Anya Mitchell focuses on 3 themes: homes, education and food. She spent her residency period meeting with the public to learn about their experiences and teach basic weaving techniques. She then took photos based on her findings and wove the images together to create a unified final piece. It is the act of weaving two different images together that highlights the unity of these experiences, rather than the differences.
