Organist Andre Rakus at The Arts at Messiah 2024

Andre Rakus is known for digging deep into the music to unearth all of its subtleties and to convey its expressive passion. His imaginative and diverse programming features many different musical genres, as indicated by the works in this concert which range from Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and David German’s Festive Trumpet Tune to John Williams’ Superman Theme and his Nimbus 2000 from “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone.” Rakus is Sub-Dean of the Grand Strand Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and a Fellow with the Guild of Musicians and Singers (London), a learned society.
