The goal of this course is to assist participants with recognizing potential health hazards in the workplace, and avoiding, minimizing, controlling or eliminating them whenever possible. This course will provide information on the types of health hazards and discuss ways to recognize, evaluate and control them in the workplace. This course is set up as a facilitated, interactive training session. Participants are given small “chunks” of information, and then are able to test their understanding of the subject matter via participant activities. There will be group activities. The course is designed to promote an active learning environment.
