Artists can often get frustrated trying to apply the rules of linear perspective to observational drawings and paintings. In this class will we develop observational skills that help us have correct perspective without the complexity of rules and measurements. We will go over the very basics of linear perspective with a series of sketches from projected image; use sighting techniques while learning what to look for, and notice common mistakes to avoid. Participants will create a sketch for their painting where light, shadow, value, temperature and intensity of color will all be considered to achieve depth in the paintings.
