The Savannah African Art Museum is excited to welcome back visitors on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. The museum will open for its normal business hours of 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. SAAM temporarily ceased tours in March due to COVID-19 state mandates and closures. As they reopen, the museum’s staff will adhere to specific sanitary measures and guidelines to ensure the safety of visitors, volunteers and employees. SAAM is a non-profit institution devoted to spreading awareness and appreciation of African culture. They hold a collection of over 1,000 objects that hail from West and Central Africa.
