Savannah Philharmonic: Triple Treat: Bernstein, Gershwin, & Mussorgsky

Uploaded by Crystal Vogel
The Savannah Philharmonic’s Eleventh Season opens with a thrilling array of masterpieces. Bernstein’s effervescent Overture from Candide sets the mood for Gershwin’s landmark piano piece Concerto in F, one of the first pieces to truly bring the sound of jazz into the concert hall. The evening closes with Mussorgsky’s towering Pictures at an Exhibition. The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra will be led by newly appointed conductor, Keitaro Harada with Ian Parker accompanying on piano.
