The Thomas Edison Film Festival returns to Trustees Theater with a mesmerizing collection of short films for its 2025 edition. Formerly known as the Black Maria Film Festival, this event has advanced the unique creativity and power of the short-film format for more than 40 years, promoting innovation and advocating for independent filmmakers through a juried international competition that celebrates all genres and hybrids from filmmakers around the world. This year, viewers will enjoy a specially curated selection of winning and bold contemporary works including two films from SCAD alumni who will also join for virtual filmmaker Q&A.
