This timely story about the triumph of kindness over cynicism is based on the real friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After the jaded magazine writer is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about friendship, decency, and forgiveness from America’s most beloved neighbor.
