Brooklyn’s Sharkmuffin is a jagged-edge punk trio, all girls, but the comparisons to The Coathangers end there. Although they rock hard, Sharkmuffin is poppier, with more attention paid to melody, song structure and deeply-ingrained influences like girl-groups and surfy ‘60s garage rock.
