The State of the Georgia Coast is a three-day symposium hosted by UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant that invites participants to learn about challenges and solutions impacting coastal communities and the marine environment.
During the event, leading experts in marine science, policy and resource management will highlight pressing issues and discuss collaborative approaches to solving them. Members of the academic community, residents, coastal managers, and local officials are invited for professional development and networking opportunities, lightning talks and posters session.
Standard registration is $100 through Aug. 15. and will then increase to $150.
Student registration is $50.
