Join us in a Stono Rebellion weekend intensive: deep reflection, liberation ethos, participatory music and eco-cultural agency—self-emancipatory action. The Stono rebels saw the rejection of subjugation, plantations and chattel slavery as a reflex.
This outing will address various dimensions of thought, dialogue, and participation in Self-determination agency, as well as countervailing knowledge about colonialism, neocolonialism, commerce and enterprise models of history.
We will examine why & how regional, and Savannah travel & leisure/tourism/heritage industry so adroitly omit, sideline or censor frontline narratives of escape, rebellion and freedom: GENUINE liberation narrative.
