Sunrise and Sunset Impressionist Workshop

This intensive and unique six-week workshop led by Woody Cornwell will explore lighting and locale by painting the same location at both sunrise and sunset. The class will meet once a week in the morning and afternoon for an intensive study in color, light, and mark making. Students will learn to create strong compositions and designs, paint shapes and values to develop a more painterly style, capture the effects of light in moving water, and translate wave patterns. Students will also study the use of color to convey temperature, mood, and time of day.
