Telfair Museum Classical Life Drawing Classes

Learn to draw the human figure from life using a classical academic approach rooted in 19th century French training. Suitable for beginners through advanced students, this course emphasizes careful observation and disciplined looking. Working from a single long pose over six weeks, participants will build a drawing step by step, developing both accuracy and unity. Each class includes demonstrations and individualized feedback. Astoria Jellett has trained at both the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts and Florence Academy of Art, and combines both approaches to give you a taste of atelier training. All materials provided.
