The Arts at Messiah ~ Award winning Pianist Derek Derek Hartman in recital at The Joseph Pramberger Memorial Concert

Derek Hartman shot onto the international classical piano scene in 2025 when he was awarded First Prize in the prestigious 17th International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna, becoming the first American-born musician to receive top honors in the event’s sixty-year history. He won top prizes in the Washington International Piano Competition, the Chicago International Music Competition, and the PianoArts North American Competition. He has performed on stages across the US and Europe, including the John F. Kennedy Center and the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna. His solo piano recital will present works of Bach, Beethoven, Ravel, and Brahms.
