The Rose and the Nightingale

As a precursor to St. Valentine's Day, the Goliards will perform The Rose and the Nightingale, a program of Trouvère love songs and motets from 13th-century France on Saturday, February 8 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church (590 Walthour Rd.,Savannah 31410). The program will be repeated on Sunday, February 9 at 4:00 P.M. at St. George's Episcopal Church (15 Willow Rd., Savannah 31419). Admission will be $20.00. For those who arrive a half-hour early John Hillenbrand will go over the program notes and answer any questions that audience members may have.
