Amanda, a small-town rebel, is determined that this year’s annual play production will be different. She will direct a dark, modern drama written by a revolutionary German playwright. Mrs. Pauley, the town’s grande dame, is just as determined to convince Amanda to present another light comedy from the past. Will the show go on? There's only one way to find out.
